Real estate agents: Google reviews first, Zillow too
Google is the default destination. ReviewHero also has custom link slots: paste the write-a-review address for Zillow in Settings, name it, and send yourself a test to check it lands on the right page. Clicks on custom links are tracked the same as Google clicks.
Yelp stays out of every request. Its guidelines prohibit businesses from asking for reviews.
Adding clients
- Quick-add the client’s name and email when the deal closes.
- CSV import of past clients from your CRM export. Map the name and email columns and confirm they gave you their address for this kind of contact.
- Zapier or a webhook on Premium, if your CRM or transaction system can push a name and email when a deal closes.
Ask once, remind once
Clients are juggling movers, utilities and boxes. If they do not click the first email, one reminder follows about two days later by default. Their click cancels it. If you would rather do it more slowly, change the timing under Sequences.
Rules that apply to everyone
No gifts or closing-day perks in exchange for a review. Incentivized reviews are prohibited by Google and are the fastest way to get a profile penalized. See Google’s review policy in 2026. Your licensing body or brokerage may have further rules on testimonials, so check them.
Frequently asked questions
Can I ask for a Zillow review as well as Google?
Yes. Add Zillow’s write-a-review address as a custom link in Settings. ReviewHero routes and tracks it like any other link.
Can ReviewHero pull clients from my CRM?
If your CRM can send a name and email by webhook or through Zapier, Premium accepts them. Otherwise import a CSV.
Do real estate agents need a Google Business Profile to get Google reviews?
Yes. During setup ReviewHero searches Google’s business directory and builds your write-a-review link from the listing you confirm. If your business is not listed, create a Google Business Profile first.
I work under a brokerage. Whose name is on the email?
The business you set up in ReviewHero. Set it up with the listing your clients will see on Google.
Is there a contract?
No. It is month to month, billed through the App Store or Google Play, and you cancel it there.
Put this on autopilot
ReviewHero asks every customer once, follows up politely, and stops the moment they open the review link. Free to download, and you can set it up from your phone.
